Great, remote, quiet getaway perfect for a honeymoon.
We stayed at this location on our honeymoon for 5 nights in the Abate room and it was amazing! Matteo's hospitality was great- he provided us with a basket breakfast the first day, a wine tasting during our stay, and helped select and make reservations for dinner for us. The estate is very remote in the countryside with an approximately 20 minute drive into downtown Montalcino. You couldn't quite see the view of the rolling hills of Tuscany from the common areas but the views from our room were spectacular!

Wonderful Place to Visit
We couldn’t be happier with our stay. Matteo was so helpful with every request we had. He arranged for our cooking lesson in our apt that was amazing. The pool was very nice after a warm day out and about. We even saw a whole bunch of wild boars and a jack rabbit on the property. The wine they produce is amazing as well. Don’t hesitate to book your stay!

A perfect balance of luxury, Tuscan beauty and tradition
We loved our villa, the property, our host and the region. The property was amazing. Wine, olives, lavender and lots of property. Located about 10-15 kilometers from Montalcino-our go-go city-, the area is beautiful. Our villa faced west with large windows that opened onto an amazing view which, once a day, included sunset. WOW! While this is a very old, former monastery, our villa had updated bathroom and kitchen and was well stocked. It was comfortable, nicely designed and we were glad to spend time "at home." Bed was comfortable. We hope to go back.
This was a great location to tour from. Many wineries to visit, including this property. It's easy to access nearby sites and cities like Siena, Montalcino and Pienza. Our host, Matteo, was excellent. He was helpful and knowledgeable about the area and the history. He asked what we were interested in and gave us list of things to do, showed us how to get there on maps. We loved Montalcino, Sant'Antimo, Castiglione D'Orcia, and Bagno Vignoni all places, Matteo recommended. He really made the trip special with his attention to our needs. He was helpful but not overly. For us, this was a perfect way to see Tuscany.

Peaceful, Friendly, Clean Accomodations
Matteo was a great host. Our stay was very enjoyable. The setting is as beautiful as all the pics! The cellar was terrific to see and the wine - even better!!

Absolute Tranquillity
A perfect place to recover from the excitement and craziness of the big cities amidst stunning scenery, food and wine. Matteo went out of his way to make sure we had a wonderful experience? which we really appreciated. We will be back, thanks Matteo. Ps his Brunello is awesome.

Blissful place
The place was recommended to us by a friend who had stayed here 2 years earlier. Stayed here for 3 nights. Had a lovely 2 bedroom apartment. The place is isolated, no road noise. All you hear is the wind, birds and chickens. Surrounded by vineyards, olive groves, this is a blissful place. Matteo the owner is a wonderful gentleman. He provides all the local knowledge with sightseeing recommendations, restaurants, etc. Cannot wait to get back there again.

Home away from home!
This place is amazing and Matteo made our experience unforgettable. His recommendations where perfect and he was really helpful. We were lucky to visit in September so Matteo involved us in the whole process from picking the grape to the bottling! The apartments have everything you might need and the place is clean and really we'll maintained. The views are amazing and if you are looking for a place from which to visit south of Tuscany this is the perfect place (you do need a car though). The win, as well as the olive oil, they make is superb!

Wine, views, food, culture and hospitality!
We love this place. It is our second time staying at Quercecchio and we will return. The location is the ideal home base to cover Tuscany on day trips. The building is clean and very well maitained and the spotless salt water pool is perfect for those hot tuscan afternoons away from the heavily populated tourist locations...Paradise!
Matteo is a wonderful host with lots of knowledge about the surrounding area, vineyards and restaurants. He is now a good friend!

A fantastic holiday in the beautiful hills near Montalchino
We have just had 12 wonderful days at Antica Grancia di Querchecchio. We enjoyed the grand appartement, I Tetti, and the large and very clean pool with a fantastic wiew over the surrounding mountains.
The owner, Matteo, was very friendly an helpfull by suggesting trips an recommending restaurants in the neighbourhood. And he loves to tell about the Brunello and the Rosso di Montalcino and about the winemaking in the cellar. It was a great experience to tast his brunello wines.
We can really recommend this agriturismo situated just 10 min by car from Montalcino.
