We really enjoyed it

We really enjoyed our stay. The cabin was cozy, clean and surrounded by trees. It's not luxury, but if you are looking for an off-the-grid retreat on Savary, this is a nice option.

The Island is gorgeous! Paradise! The cabin is cute and cozy, bbq is good but here is a list of what we wish we knew: There was no TP The Beer and TP at the general store are pretty far up a hilly gravel road and a bike would be necessary (can rent beside the store) The upstairs bedroom bed is super tiny, child size. The Outhouse is very very basic, unpainted, broken lamp Access to the beach is by a walk and some steep path/stairs. If you have a 4 yr old this is important to know. Would have been 5/5 with the essentials, TP, bikes, outhouse upgrade... but these few snags were the essentials! We loved the Island but wish the

Good mid island location that had easy access to several beaches. Appreciated the retention of forest surrounding the property. Well- equipped cabin with a large deck for eating meals and relaxing with books. Hot water controls are a bit finnicky as noted previously but this may simply be an adjustment on the hot water temperature. No issues ( ie. tripping hazzards) to get to the outhouse. Margaret checked in with us several times prior to arriving to ensure we had all the information we needed. Local friend also checked on us on our first day of arrival. The cabin was great. I would next time like a place with a flush toilet as this one was outhouse. Also, would be nice if they had dishsoap and toilet paper. Had to get my own. And a few recycle containers would also be great as we have to take all garbage and recycling off island. We had a wonderful time. Love love love Savary

Savary Island is fantastic and this small cabin in the forest is a comfortable place to stay tucked away in the trees in the middle of the island. It has most of the basics for your stay and is within sight of the main road. The mechanical systems with the generator and propane appliances can be a bit of work to sort out, but work well when there is adequate propane. The outdoor shower is private and a real treat. The outhouse, a short walk from the cabin, could use an upgrade and the path to the outhouse would benefit from removing some tripping hazards. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

The listing and subsequent information fails to mention no indoor toilet - its an outhouse at the back of the property. Significant omission. Electricity not reliable - sketchy noisy generator - eventually needed help from friend of owner. The location is handy to one of the beaches by cutting through owner's other property . I would not recommend this place - We booked late and this was one of few remaining ... now we know why.

We really enjoyed staying in this cabin since we usually tent it when we go to Savary Island. We loved having running water, a fridge and a stove. The outdoor shower was a real luxury too. This cabin was cozy and comfortable and the fact that it is right next door to the Savary Island resort that serves fresh coffee and homemade pie was an added bonus. Hope to return next year!

Cabin has off the grid appeal with option of plugging into generating power, making life easy. All the essentials are there, hot water, gas cooking, fridge... Beaches are accessible with walking, but bikes make getting around easier.
