Alan and Hazel, the owners who live next door were amazing. I emailed before we arrived to asked if we could drop our bags off as we were arriving early. When we arrived we were able to get in and Alan and Hazel offered to take us shopping. Alan and Hazel are amazing hosts but not in an intrusive manner, we can't thank them enough. The villa is amazing, the neighbourhood is so quiet and peaceful, just what the doctor ordered. I would highly recommend this villa

AMAZING STAY
Amazing Stay
We loved every minute of our stay in this gorgeous villa.
We were lucky enough to be on the same flight out as our hosts, who have the adjacent apartment and studio. They were so helpful and accommodating and even took us shopping.
We thought the air con was great as you pay for what you use, a fab idea as some would leave it on all day which you don't need to, so this does not leave the hosts with a large bill. The only problem we had with it was that the coin box was full but Alan and Hazel remedied this immediately.
As there is a tree overhanging the pool you do get blossom and leaves falling but my husband took to using the net and clearing, which I think he found quite therapeutic, it didn't detract anything from the fact that the pool is lovely.
The inside of the villa is great, although we were never really inside, there is everything that you need in respect of plates, glasses, cutlery etc.
Taking out the rubbish is no big thing as there are bins to the front of the complies and at the back.
We will definitely be booking a return trip and hopefully get to spend a little more time with Alan and Hazel who are both great company.

Outside area let down
First impressions count and the first thing I faced outside of the front door was a chair that to be kind had seen much better days. We placed it out of sight during the holiday. The key fob for the main gate battery stopped working and the pool outside lights did not work. The inside of the Villa was clean and comfortable enough. I got in touch with the owner and I think he was as frustrated as me with what we found on arrival. In fairness to him he sorted the key fob out quickly but the other issues would take longer than a week for him to sort. The owner’s property management company need to apologise to the owner for causing him such embarrassment. We will not be returning to this Villa, the small problems unfortunately had a large negative impact on our holiday. I could continue to carry on with other issues but the Owner knows the issues and I am sure he will sort them out for the next clients.

Good villa
We enjoyed our stay at the villa, there are just a few things that could have made it better. The air conditioning wasn’t working properly, two of the units were just like a fan and we had very sticky nights sleep, we also weren’t aware of it being a coin meter until after we had paid for the villa. The outdoor furniture is a little tired and a sun lounger broken, we found there wasn’t enough shade around the pool area for 5 of us and also the pool wasn’t cleaned during our stay and leaves were accumulating on the bottom of the pool, and it was stated that our towels would be changed but this didn’t happen. If it wasn’t for those points then we would have given 5 stars.

Fantastic holiday.
We have just returned from a nine night stay at Casa Verano and we had the most fantastic holiday.
The villa was exactly as pictured and we found all the facilities to be just what we were expecting, clean and tidy with beautiful pool and patio areas. Loved the waterfall. Yes, we did have to clear leaves from the pool every day using the net provided but it was worth it to have such a lovely garden with trees and plants and it was actually quite a relaxing process. The pool was warm and very clean and we had the maintenance team around twice during our stay to clean it, top it up with water etc.
The villa was well stocked with crockery, cutlery, pans etc and the beds were very comfy. Bathrooms were roomy with fab walk in shower in one plus a bath/shower in the other.
English TV was great, we played music channels (mainly 80's hits) during the day and watched a film most evenings when we got back from dinner in Playa Blanca.
We used the air conditioning every evening (meter which took 1 euro coins) because the weather was very hot, used about 4 Euro per night which was worth it to us.
There was a bit of damage to one of the kitchen cupboard doors but it was due to be replaced on the day we left and it didn't affect use.
The walk into town took about 15 minutes via a shortcut over some rough ground but there was a path for the majority of it. We got home most nights before it got too dark (9.30pm ish) but there was adequate lighting all the way. There were a few recycling bins around but nowhere near the villa and the only time we were aware of any bad drain smells were down by the main road and only for a few minutes.
We hired a car from the airport and it took us about 30 mins to get to the resort. There was plenty of parking available and villa is on a gated community so everything felt very safe and secure. It was great having the car and we used it to tour the island, go down to the marina (fabulous), go food shopping etc.
We would definitely recommend Casa Verano if you are looking for a relaxing holiday and we hope to return one day.

Gem of a place
Wow!!!! What can I say after reading the previous review this villa is amazing.
The hosts Alan and Hazel were so welcoming and on hand if you needed them. One of the nicest couples we have met!!!
The welcome pack and bottle of wine was much appreciated.
The villa is very spacious well equipped and the fresh water tap was a great added bonus no carrying bottles of water. The heated pool was another great attribute to this villa heated to 28 heard others complain about how cold the hotel pools were!!! Ours was warm all day and the waterfall was very delightful to listen too.
Situated about a 10-15 minute walk from main hub of Playa Blanca which can be accessed over a small piece of dirt track but you can use the main gate adds an extra coupe of minutes to your walk. Taxis only 3-4 euros from centre.
If you want a nice quiet villa with easy access to Playa Blanca this is for you loved it so much we’ve booked to go back for longer next year.

Disappointing!!!
Villa Casa Verano - Playa Blanca
Stayed in this villa for two weeks
After not having a holiday due to Covid for three years we were very much looking forward to a well deserved break, but we were so disappointed with this villa, lots of things wrong with it, the list was extensive, yes we could of complained to the owners who seemed pleasant but due to there being so much wrong with it we didn't see the point as our complaints were not things to be rectified quickly and not like a hotel we couldn't ask to swap rooms.
On booking the villa the true location of it was not revealed until further down the booking process which was very misleading, much further out than we thought with the walk down to the resort along a rubble track past smelly dustbins and bad drain smells, also very dark on returning later, not ideal when you are out dressed for dinner.
First impressions when we were showed the villa was the bad smell of drains throughout which never really went completely, upon further inspection the villa was very tired and grubby looking, kitchen cupboards scratched all equipment very old, the oven was filthy, ironing board dropping to bits and the washing machine we were told didn't work? The walls definitely needed a lick of paint with cobwebs and general cleanliness poor you can imagine how disappointed we were, anyway we thought lets not spoil our holiday and try to make the best of it, the pool area seemed nice so lets get on with it, went to buy some disinfectant had a clean.
The outside area was also a let down with the outdoor furniture again tired and falling to bits and scruffy looking. As for the pool it didn't look like it had been used for a while but thought well we are here for two weeks someone would be along to clean it but no! it was really dirty had a scum mark round the edges, anyway to cut this long rant short we ended up booking a lovely four night stay down in the resort in our second week which was very clean so really enjoyed the latter of our stay
we really don't want anyone else to feel the disappointment we experienced, we also suffered from mosquito bites the bedroom was very hot and airless, the air con in the bedroom didn't work after plenty of 1 euro coins for 1 hour, so sleeping was very uncomfortable.
The only two things worth a mention was the additional fresh water tap and the main shower had good pressure.

We don’t respond much - because it is very, very rare we have to. We are proud of being awarded a Certificate of Excellence by Trip Advisor for all the great comments and praise by guests. We have carefully looked at these particular comments and made a thorough inspection as we live next door.The male guest did complain that the pool looked a bit murky, with leaves from the tree behind the waterfall fallen into it. Within 15 mins of telling me, the Director of our maintenance company had arrived and 15 minutes later a pool cleaner arrived and re-cleaned the pool again. It was sparklingly clean.
Regarding position, it is 11 mins walk to the town centre. Of course there are dustbins on the path outside the complex - as there are in every complex in Lanzarote - but nowhere near the villa. Where did the guest expect them to be? They are also emptied every single day. Regarding it being dark when they returned, the outside complex is ringed with lights with single floodlights at the gate and all over the complex.
The complaint about the kitchen door being scarred was factual - children had scrapped it and it was on order from IKEA.
Sorry to say that the male guest seemed constantly irritated about the weather not being great, rudely refused our offer to take them supermarket shopping or discuss things to do on the island. He seemed in generally bad form…
We live next door. At no time did he tell us that the cleaning was not up to standard. Nor did he tell us about the inside painting. The washing machine was working perfectly. The villa had in fact been repainted inside and out during the end stage of Covid so frankly, those comments are untrue. We fail to see his motive in telling lies about the outside furniture. We believe he broke a sunbed and then complained to us. The same day we spent 200 euros and replaced it. Reading the exaggerations, we wish we had knocked it off his deposit!
He suffered from mosquito bites, complained the bedroom was very hot and airless. He couldn’t work the aircon but never asked us for help despite the fact of us being next door. He did praise the fresh water tap and that the main shower had good pressure so we are grateful for that.
Once or twice every decade there is a “moaner guest”. He wouldn’t have been happy at the Presidential suite at the Ritz-Carlton.

Muuuuuuchas cucarachas
La casa está bien aunque hace falta mejoras por ejemplo los colchones estaban muy sucios,en el que durmió mi hija de 4 años era asqueroso ,en la habitación del fondo una telaraña enorme y en la cocina más, los muebles del exterior igual y muy desgastados , la casa necesita una limpieza profunda y a conciencia.
Tuvimos un problema la segunda noche nos quedamos sin luz y hasta el día siguiente no vino nadie, se nos estropeó comida y nadie se ha hecho responsable.
Las sartenes que había para cocinar estaban sucisimas tuve que comprar una porque poras que la limpiaba era imposible quitar la suciedad.
Pero lo que más me ha disgustado ha sido la cantidad de cucarachas que había tanto en el exterior como en el interior de la casa ,era horrible!!!
Me encontré alguna en la cama de mi hija .
Nos gastamos 30€ en sprays para ahuyentarlas y tampoco nadie se ha responsabilizado.
Teníamos que cerrar todo para que no entrasen más por la noches y encima el aire acondicionado es de pago!
Aún así el aire de la habitación principal no funcionaba con lo cuál imposible estar fresco y dormir .
Si nos ha gustado mucho la zona de la piscina muy bonita y relajante.
Bajo mi punto de vista y en referencia a otras Villas en las que nos hemos alojado le falta mucho para ser una villa de alta calidad.
No me dejan subir las fotos en las que muestro todo lo que digo .

Good villa at good price
We are a family of 4 with 2 daughters 11 and 14. Villa size is excellent with plenty of space inside and out. Inside was lovely and clean and cleaned once during our 2 week stay with clean bedding and towels (including beach towel).
Out side was nice and good to have own pool. It did take a bit of keeping on top of due to the wind as it filled with leaves quickly. One of the reasons we chose this villa was that we didn’t need a car. The short cut to the town takes about 15/20 minutes to walk right into the centre where there are plenty of bars, shops and restaurants, as well as 2 beaches. We wouldn’t walk the short cut in the dark so did taxi back every night. Due to Covid taxis would only take 3 so we needed 2 taxis for a family of 4. A taxi back was around 4 euros. In summary, a good villa for a couple or family, lovely quiet area and close enough to walk into town.

Perfect
Not surprising at all that Alan & Hazel earned a certificate of excellence on their beautiful Villa. We only originally booked 7 days but being out there , enjoying the glorious sunshine . Relaxed, Enjoying watching the kids splash around in the heated swimming pool we extended our stay for another 3 days and we would of happily stayed longer, infact I didnt want to come home . Alan & Hazel are the perfect hosts. Probably two of the loveliest friendliest people i have met. They care so much about you being comfortable and enjoying your stay in their villa and cant do enough for you. They stay next door in their villa but leave you be to enjoy your holiday but are always there if you need them, which we did a few times as Alan so kindly drove my partner to the supermarket to get some essentials.
On arrival at the villa , Alan & Hazel gave us a friendly welcome and showed us around the villa. Now , the villa looks beautiful on photos but much better in real life.
Simply stunning, spacious, modern and immaculately clean! Everything you could possibly need is in the villa. Including clean drinking water from the tap which was great not having to buy bottled water from the supermarket like you always have to when you're abroad. That was a brilliant feature to have and really appealed to me when booking , as did the free WiFi, English TV channels, Air conditioning, large heated swimming pool and a washing machine. Saved me having a mountain of dirty washing when I returned home. Me and my family only went out for an evening meal on 4 of the nights which is only a 10 minute short walk to the shops and restaurants. The rest of time was spent at the villa. It was the most perfect holiday and we cannot wait to return again.
