Rustic but Economical and Great Location for Kiters
We were taken aback when we first arrived as the pictures in the listing did not show that the cottage was surrounded by some derelict and abandoned buildings.
However, once we settled in I felt safe, as the neighbors and site Supt. were friendly and helpful. My elderly mother was a little more apprehensive but she became more comfortable as she settled in. The Supt., Azard, was very helpful. He even went with us to get groceries when we first arrived as it was late and we did not yet have our bearings. He also dealt with a few 'glitches' in a timely manner.
Some of the surfaces of the cottage were grubby and we gave them a good wipe-down. But the bedding was clean and comfortable. The sea breeze was wonderful and with the fans, made for a good room temperature. The electric shower was new to us but was adequate. Note that there is no hot water in the kitchen but since we mostly ate out and only snacked at home...was adequate. There is a kettle for hot water.
Our only real complaint was about noise. The nearby bar played very loud music on weekends. And the young family of dogs, albeit very friendly, would bark every time a stranger walked through the property.
Having said that, I had a great time in St. Lucia, and I loved Sandy Beach, The Reef Cafe, and the Kiting which are literally a few minutes' walk away.
Definitely a decent option for the adventurous, budget minded traveler who loves to Kiteboard.

Perfect
Perfect little place. Has the basic things you need plus decorated to give you the homely feel. As for the owners...if stay here, take the time to get to know them. They are amazing people. Plus you have the added bonus of Vernin being an amazing chef. If I could I would have brought her back with me to be my chef lol.
Location is great. It is in walking distance to bars, restaurants and main stretch of the beach. You can also walk into town where u can get a bus anywhere. So don't need a car. I prefer to still have one tho because you can drive around the island at your leasure and don't have to sit on a hot bus. There is so many places you should visit.
Can not fault this place or the owners. I hope your dreams come true Vernin and Azard,

GREAT AND CONVINIENT
in a great location next to local bars and restaurants that serve amazing hot bakes and roti. Close enough to walk to town where you can catch a bus to anywhere, so a car is not needed. Clean and cute with hot water!
