We were there during one weekend in July and it was the first time we planned a real hollyday since we became a family. And it was worth waining 9 years for it. Me, my wife and 2 kids came from Sweden and meat my in laws who came from Romania. We got a nice welcome from Armando, who picked up my in laws, showed them the appartment, surroundings and gave them tips on restaurants and places. He kept in contact with us and was always there to answer when we had something to wonder.
I must say that the apartment looks even better in reality then in the pictures, very clean and soooo close to the beach, restaurants, shops and food stores. Good prices for good food ☺. There is a big market with fresh local products just 10 minutes walk away and many attractions like wind surfing, boat rental etc. Barber shop (cheap) around the corner, wich we tested 😉. We did so many things that we missed out testig the famous slide in Calafell, but no regrets😉.
We planned to visit the castle and we went up in the village, where we stopped at a village party with live salsa band, people dancing, kis running around free in the middle of the plaza, cheap and good vino tinto, tapas and boccadillos, so we came probably 5 minutes away from the castle but the party was so fun that we never seen the castle eyther, but no regrets as well.
People are so friendly and funny, we got friends with some locals and party till 3am while the kids were at home with the inlaws😉🍷🍻. It was really the best hollyday and the first time we felt sad to go back home.
So conclusion: realy nice appartment with friendly owner, beautifull beach, friendly people, fun, sun, tasty food👍👌. Looking forward to go back😊.
PS: we got tricked by the taxi driver by 30 euro, so my tip is take train between El Prat and Callafell and taxi between El Prat and your terminal. Train station is 3minutes walk from the appartment and cheap tickets, 4.5 euro to El Prat and then the taxi was 19 euro to terminal 1.
