We booked Casa Paola Monreale the same day we were arriving and Paola was very responsive. (Because the website would not allow us to share mobile numbers, we were left to communicate with emails which was a bit frustrating while driving and using international data.) Because of the emailing, we were never shown the exact address of the place and the map on the website has the correct street, but the wrong location on that street, so we had to do some sleuthing to find it! But it was worth the effort. The apartment was perfect for the two of us. The large terrace overlooks the Palermo valley all the way to the sea! The unit also has a washer which was a huge bonus for us after three weeks of hand washing in little sinks. Paola provided maps, bus schedules, restaurant suggestions, plus offered us breakfast in the morning. (for a fee, but worth it!) A couple of things to keep in mind - the street that the apartment is on is a very narrow two way street that can be tricky for some. If a car is encountered coming the other direction, someone has to maneuver or back up to let the other through. Because of this, we mostly parked our car at the apartment and walked everywhere in town. The location is quite a little walk from the main part of town, something to consider if you choose to stay here.
