We had a nice and relaxing week at Casa Amarilla with the kids during the Easter holidays. The house is clean and spacious, the garden well kept with plenty of space to enjoy the sun and enough shade to escape it in the afternoon. The swimming pool is very clean and the kids loved it. Sandie and Mike are awesome hosts that welcomed us warmly even though we arrived very late in the evening. They made sure we had everything we needed to be comfortable and were always ready to help and answer any questions we might have. The kids had a great time playing with the dogs in the garden! This is a holiday home we have no problems with recommending to anyone looking for a place to stay near Orgiva and when we return to the area, this will be the first place on our list to return to.

We arrived at casa amarilla to a very warm welcome from Sandie and Mike who live adjacent to the villa, they showed us around their home, on first glance it was spacious and clean. Once we had unpacked our belongings did we then realise the extent of how big casa amarilla is. It sleeps 6 comfortably, 3 terraces, outdoor barbecue, 2 very big green areas with a great pool that has a shallow and deep end with a depth of up to 2meters, with plenty of areas of shade if needed. The villa has copious amounts of storage for your belongings/ toiletries. Fresh bedding and towels are supplied with spares if needed, The kitchen is fully equipped, everything you could think of the kitchen had it, with fully working oven and microwave and a great sized fridge/freezer. The views are truly spectacular nestled between mountains and the night sky with all its stars you could sit for hours either day or night just taking in the views, I’ve never been to a place that isn’t spoilt by pollution the scenery is pure. You have great amounts of privacy if you chose to be in a world of your own it could be easily done. The villa is an easy 15/20min walk from Orgiva center which has plenty of supermarkets, bars and restaurants to suit your needs Sandie and Mike are truly wonderful hosts, nothing is too much bother for them, anything you need if they don’t know they will know somebody who does, they are always happy and chirpy. Sandie and Mike are like encyclopaedias the amount of knowledge they have of the area and the best places that meet your needs is truly amazing. They have 3 dogs that are the cutest things ever, Layla the brown dog will play all day long with you if you allowed her, they also have cats. Is there anything I’d change or do differently.. NO Would I come back.. YES Would I 100% recommend to everyone .. YES!!!

Hemos estado 6 días esta Semana Santa en Casa Amarilla, con 2 niños...y nos habríamos quedado muchos más! La casa es bonita y espaciosa, muy bien equipada y decorada con estilo. Tiene una gran terraza con unas vistas fantásticas de la Sierra de Lújar y de la cara sur de Sierra Nevada. La zona es muy tranquila...de día sólo se escuchan los pájaros y el viento...y de noche, las ranas y las rapaces nocturnas. Está muy bien ubicada para visitar los pueblos más famosos de Las Alpujarras, hacer rutas de senderismo, ir a la playa...o si no te apetece, simplemente puedes darte un baño en la piscina y relajarte. De noche puedes disfrutar de la piscina iluminada y del cenador con pequeñas lucecitas de colores. Sandie y Mike son amabilísimos, y te ayudan en cualquier momento. También sus perritos son muy cariñosos y educados y no hacen ningún ruido (mi hijo pequeño disfrutó mucho con ellos!). Es uno de los mejores alojamientos rurales en los que hemos estado, sin duda.

We have stayed before in a group of six but this time had the place to ourselves. We spent our days exploring the local white villages and enjoying the dramatic views of the mountains. You can walk uphill to Orgiva but probably need a car to explore more towns and villages. You can also get to Granada by car and explore the old town or visit the massive shopping centre. Two twin bedrooms and one double, spacious but cosy lounge/diner with wood burner and well equipped kitchen. Outside is a fab pool, covered dining area, Bbq and gardens. Also parking. Also there is a big roof terrace with mountain views and dining area. The kitchen window opens up onto the roof area so my chef aka hubby could pass the drinks out. Beautiful trees. I loved waking up to the garden view from the double bed. Fully equipped with all you could need, pots pans, microwave, cooker, iron, hairdryer and even hair straighteners! Price was really good and a bargain for a group. Pic is a view of some dramatic clouds on an evening journey out to Torvizcón.

We had a fantastic stay! Location is beautiful, a lot of nature, great views and still close to a town with restaurants and supermarkets (15 min walk). The pool, bbq and garden are perfect for the sunny days! Sandie and Mike are amazing hosts, communication was perfect and they are really helpful. There is a tv with internet access as well, WiFi is also great. Furthermore, it's a very nice area to cycle. We rented bikes in a town nearby for 6 days and really enjoyed the good road conditions, beautiful climbs and friendly car drivers. And how nice it is to have a beer at the pool after a great day in the saddle! Thank you again Sandie and Mike, hopefully we will meet again :)

We had a wonderful stay in the beautiful Casa Amarilla, which was in an excellent location to explore Orgiva and the Alpujarras. The house was clean, spacious and cosy and the photos did not do justice to the large pool and gardens, which were stunning. The view from the roof terrace was truly spectacular - one of the best from any holiday home we've stayed at. Nothing was too much trouble for Sandie and her husband, who were perfect hosts (along with their friendly dogs who our toddler adored!). We would highly recommend this tranquil casa for families and friends/couples alike, and would not hesitate to return one day.

Hemos pasado unos días maravillosos en la Casa Amarila, la casa está muy limpia así como la piscina de la que hemos disfrutado mucho. Sandie y Mike, han sido unos anfitriones estupendos muy amables y atentos. La casa está localizado en una zona muy buena ya que se puede combinar turismo cultural con playa. Casa totalmente recomendable

The property is simply stunning, clean, spacious and full of original features. The pool and outside areas are fantastic with plenty of options available and easily suits just 2 or a party of 6. The location is perfect being on the edge of Orgiva with it's shops, restaurants and bars and only 20 minutes away from stunning hilltop villages or if you like a day at the beach 30-40 minutes is all it takes. Highly recommended!

My stay with Mike and Sandie was most pleasurable. Their gorgeous ‘Casa Amarillo’ in the Alpujarras hills ticks all the boxes in terms of tranquility, cleanliness, location and charm. The large pool and the wonderful garden are the perfect oasis for relaxing after a hike up to one of the pretty ‘pueblos blancos’ or a stroll around the town Orgiva which is only 15min. away on foot. Mike and Sandie and the perfect hosts and they couldn’t have been more helpful. I’ll definitely be back soon.

Hemos pasado unos días fantásticos en esta casa. Un entorno donde se respira naturaleza, paz y tranquilidad. La casa es acogedora, amplia y cómoda. Nosotros éramos seis y aun así podíamos disfrutar de momentos en solitario sin molestarnos. Volvería a repetir la estancia y la recomiendo para aquellos que estén buscando pasar unos días tranquilos lejos de la ciudad pero con todas las comodidades.
