We managed to get a spare week amid the Covid-19 crisis whilst the Balearics were in the “green list” and travelling was possible. Rene and Frederike were amazingly accommodating as we had to change our arrangements several times beforehand-because of the pandemic. The house was spotless when we arrived and the views absolutely amazing. There are all the amenities you need in the house including a fridge on the top floor - very handy for the odd chilled beer or gin & tonic in the heat of the day! The location is also brilliant for night time. The restaurant’s are almost literally on your doorstep but at the same time it is not noisy at all. All restaurants are great! Ana Luisa is our favourite- book ahead as it is very popular. We love this house and the views so much we have already booked for July! Rene was on the island at the same time and made us feel very welcome and introduced us to a fabulous restaurant off the beaten track with the best tapas on the island, Txoko. Just returned from a fabulous week staying in this townhouse in Es Castell. We have Have been visiting Menorca for many years and know Es Castell very well often eating in Cales Fonts restaurants. The location of this property was superb literally 60 seconds walk to the restaurants. We stayed during the fiesta week (local fiesta of Sant Joan) and was great being in amongst the fun and so close to the horse parades and 'jaleo' in the main square. This is potentially the busiest week of the year in Es Castell yet the property was still very relaxing and peaceful. Air Con in every bedroom allowed windows to be closed if needed too. The views from the top terrace are amazing for sunrise and sunset but one point to note is it is two levels up so remember to take everything up from the kitchen you need otherwise it's two stories back down! 😃? That said though there is a fridge on the top bedroom to keep essentials cool. The rest of the property was very well furnished and equipped with lovely local art work. The garage was very handy for parking during the fiesta but does only take a small car e.g. we had a VW polo which just fitted. A car whilst nice to have to explore the island is not necessary for this property as local bus services into Mahon are good and taxi rank is 30 seconds away at top of Cales Fonts. The welcome pack emailed to us a month before our stay gave us all the instructions about arriving and entering the property, tips on public transport and advice on places to visit. It was extremely helpful. On arrival - wow! The property is full of character inside with beautiful works of art together with the practicalities needed of a weeks stay. The living room was fantastic although we rarely used it as the principal benefit in July is the amazing roof terrace where you could watch the world (and cruise liners) go by whilst absorbing the warm atmosphere of Cales Fonts. The location is ideal for simply walking to the unique Bar Lemon (a must) or any of the restaurants within a stone’s throw of the house. Cales Fonts is wonderful in that has character and atmosphere without rowdiness. Our favourite time was the roof terrace at night, after a wonderful meal and series of drinks(!) and ice cream from the local place, then having a final gin and tonics whilst listening to the sea lapping up against the marina. In practical terms we parked at the top of the street in the car park. There was always somewhere to park. The resort is extremely safe and relaxed. A car is not essential, the buses and taxis very cheap and reliable. Ultimately the view and feel of the marina and night sky will live with us for a long time and tempt us to surely return. Thanks to the owners for the communications prior, during and after the stay. A minor glitch on booking was easlily rectified and a malfunction in the bathroom quickly remedied. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

Location is just perfect with an amazing vieuw. Great house very clean, good WiFi, enough cutlery plates etc and realy comfy beds. The guestbook you recive at arivel is realy the best guide for the island, restaurants, beaches, etc.... we realy enjoyed our Holliday and recomend this house to everybody.

A beautiful old house with great views of the harbour and a roof terrace to die for

not impressed.Yes the house was in a ideal location,and the roof top was a delight.Wrong code to get in,no code for the safe,kitchen had to be recleaned,2 door handles falling off,2 dirty cracked mugs,cistern handle nearly falling off.Was way beneath the required standard for the amount of money we paid.When i reported the cistern handle i was told it has always been like that.

A truly Beautiful Spanish vacation-home Right along the charming harbour of Es Castells. The home has a sunny terrace overlooking the harbour which makes you want to stroll along the boats, and restaurants enjoying the outdoorsy way of living on Menorca.

Traditional charming older building with all modern conveniences. Very interesting unique décor. Fantastic roof terrace and panoramic living room sea views, within walking distances of local restaurants, small shops, a taxi rank, local historical town museum. Two double rooms, one twin room and 2 showers/toilets over 3 floors, there are two flights of stairs but the view at the top is stunning. Tables, seating , small BBQ on roof. Heaven.

We come in Menorca for 15 years. Thuis was the best house we ever had. Magnificent views, well decorated house, well equipped clean house.
