Superb Accomodation, Location, and Hospitality
The Hay Loft Barn in Creeksea Place is unique in its setting. A small complex of converted barns off the beaten track just minutes from the lovely village of Burnham on Crouch. On the relatively small site is also a spa and gym as well as a drive thru cafe. The latter being popular with dog walkers, young families and elderly seen sitting at benches enjoying a coffee or lunch outside. The goats are a main attraction as well as country walkways, including along the river crouch. From the moment we arrived staff were welcoming, pleasant, cheerful and well mannered. Our interactions were limited (due to Covid) but even so it is evident that those who work here genuinely enjoy doing so, which translates across to the customer. The barn itself was stunning! Everything we needed was available. I consider it to be well stocked with utensils, crockery and kitchen appliances. Though self catering, there was a stock of essential items like dishwater tablets, washing up liquid, toilet rolls, black sacks etc. and even teabags! Bedding and towels were also supplied. The place was spotless throughout, tastefully decorated with comfortable furniture and mattresses. We didn’t use the three single beds in the mezzanine since there were only two of us. The king sized double bedroom and bathroom are down four steps from main living area. The flooring is natural slate with some ridges. These aspects need t be considered for those with mobility difficulties. I would also consider the mezzanine to be a health and safety consideration for those with young children. All in all we had a relaxing fortnight, during lockdown, with all the home comforts in a beautiful setting. Thank you.

Can't recommend highly enough
See my comments under review of Creeksea Place Barns also. Fantastic experience here! Great location, spotlessly clean, friendly staff, nothing too much trouble, great for families & groups. Loved the animals & Parlour Cafe too!

By far the best self catering accommodation in Essex
I hired the whole site for family and friends for the occasion of my daughters wedding. Our experience was excellent in every way possible. The accommodation is of a very high standard, clean, comfortable and inviting with everything provided for the self catering experience. Travel cots and high chairs were provided free of charge for my small grandchildren and the on site play facilities for the young and not so young are great. More than enough parking at each individual barn and the on site cafe was a distinct bonus. I received nothing but positive feedback from all who stayed - A brilliant experience overall.

Absolutely superb!
We enjoyed a fabulous family celebration weekend having exclusive use of the whole of Creeksea Barns. Family came from different parts of UK and Germany and we were made so welcome. We used the reccommended caterer for the celebration meal and for a barbecue meal on the Sunday. People went away well satisfied with every aspect of the weekend. Thank you.

Just perfect.
We have just returned from our second stay at the Hay Loft in Creeksea Place Barns and we loved it just as much if not more than our first stay. The barns are spotlessly clean and I can not fault the service provided by Emily and Harry. Emily and Harry have built their business quite literally from scratch and they have done a marvelous job incorporating modern kitchens and bathroom with the charm of wooden beams and antiques. It feels like you are in the middle of no where but within five minutes you are in the charming town of Burnham on Crouch and twenty minutes to a main motorway with links to London and Southend. I have and would recommend to all my friends and family we will be back many more times.

Brilliant stay
We stayed here over the Easter period. In all honestly I don't think we could have stayed in such excellent and tastefully converted barn rentals. The lady in charge was brilliant and helpful (not to say pretty glamorous) probably thanks to her north American roots. They had a charming child friendly dog called Alfie. The place has all been converted by the husband and seems to have taken great pride in the place. Brilliant play area and outside space with lots of room to mess about in for my four year old child. There is also a good marina bar a quick walk over a field which can be got to in 10 min's which I found essential. All in all I can't recommend the place enough and under an hour from Liverpool Street station.
